Samsung Galaxy S5 features 16MP camera and Spec, Samsung Android Phones ~ SPEC PRICE PH

The Samsung Galaxy S5 has been unveiled at Mobile World Congress,

featuring a fingerprint sensor,bigger screen and improved camera.

There's no information on price, but the phone will be available globally

from 11 April. PC Pro's first look at the new Galaxy S5 is available here.

The Galaxy S5 features a marginally bigger screen than

the Galaxy S4 at 5.1in, and the same 1,080 x 1,920 resolution.

The headline new feature is the fingerprint scanner which, as with the iPhone 5s,

is built into the home button. Unlike Apple's version, Samsung has integrated a

payment feature into the scanner, meaning users can authorise PayPal transactions

with a single swipe. As expected, there's a "Private" mode built into the scanner,

where users can keep certain apps, photos or documents locked away.

Another new in-built sensor is the heart monitor at the back of the phone.

That works alongside Samsung's bundled health software, S Health, to give users users a

way to track their diet and exercise levels.

Samsung has also upgraded its rear camera to 16-megapixels with a new autofocus mechanism.

And as expected, the phone is dust proof and waterproof, capable of being submerged in

1m of water for up to 30 minutes.
